Getting started
Your first sheet.
Four steps from the model you already have to an issued drawing.
- Install VEKTRA Draft from the SketchUp Extension Warehouse (how). The 14-day trial starts when you first open it.
- Select the joinery group or component in your model and choose Document Selection (right-click, or the VEKTRA Draft toolbar).
- Generate: name the drawing, choose paper, views and a drawing profile, and click Generate documentation. Draft composes and dimensions the sheet.
- Refine and export: move, hide or override any dimension, add your own dimensions, datums and notes, then Export PDF at true scale.
Tip: model each joinery item, and each door and drawer front, as its own named group or component. Draft then reads your model the way a joiner would, with door and drawer symbols included.

- Open it from , or the Help button in the VEKTRA Draft window.
- It opens in your web browser. Use Print or save as PDF to keep a copy.
- It covers every workflow: naming, drawing profiles, editing dimensions, sections and details, sheet templates, regeneration and export.
Common questions
Quick answers
Which versions of SketchUp are supported?
VEKTRA Draft needs SketchUp 2024 or newer and is tested on SketchUp 2026 for Windows. SketchUp 2024–2025 and macOS are expected to work but are not yet verified, so please check your setup with the free trial when downloads open.
Draft is not in the Extensions menu after installing.
Restart SketchUp. If it is still missing, open and check that VEKTRA Draft is enabled. SketchUp 2023 and older show a message and do not load it.
Can I use my studio's own title block?
Yes. Save your sheet design as a PDF and import it under . The built-in user guide walks you through placing the drawing area and fields.
Why do my PDFs say EVALUATION?
Your trial's full-quality exports are used, the trial has ended, your licence has ended, or an annual licence has not been able to reconfirm itself online for 28 days. Nothing about the drawing is changed. Activate a licence and the next export is clean.
What should I include when I contact support?
Open and choose Support information…. It shows your installation id, version and licence number, with no model or personal data. Paste it into your message with a short description of what happened.
